Craving for Dim Sum, but too lazy to venture out to Chinatown, we found a Dim Sum restaurant nearby our apartment called Yank Sing. Since it was a weekend, it was crowded even when we arrived 30 minutes after opening. Their Har Gow and Siu Mai were decent, but their Shanghai dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) was my favourite. These little dumplings are soup-filled and are carefully eaten by gently placing it on your spoon (pour some vinegar and thinly shredded ginger on your spoon first). Take a small bite of the dumpling’s skin and suck the broth inside the dumpling, then eat the rest of the dumpling.

Our plan was to visit Lombard Street, which has a steep block with 8 sharp turns going down the block. Visitation to Alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge was also on the things to do/see. We wanted to go into Alcatraz, but the tour was completely booked until January 5th. The next best thing was to take a boat tour around Alcatraz, which also included the Golden Gate Bridge.

In the evening, we walked on the bridge and watched the sun set. In one day, we sailed under the bridge, and walked on the bridge. We were getting too acquainted with this bridge!
