First meal of 2015 was a dim sum brunch with my lovely Jens, Jenny and Jennt at Rol San in Chinatown.
One of the popular dim sum restaurants in the area that serves it all-day. Devoid of carts and hospitable service, the food was for the most part, delicious. We enjoyed the deep fried squid tentacles as it was not rubbery and overly battered.
Dim sum is not dim sum without har gow (shrimp dumplings) and siu mai (pork dumplings). We also got a pork and shrimp chiu chow style dumpling that had a herbal taste to it (ew) and the Chinese doughnut wrapped in rice rolls that was at some point, probably forgotten because it was delivered to our table last when everything else was almost finished.
