One thing about Buffalo, NY is that there are so many historical buildings in the city that are overlooked. The Hotel Lafayette had its heydays as one of America’s most luxury hotels until the city experienced a declined in its economy and the luxury hotel became a decrepit spot, until it was bought by a local develop whom restored it and turned it into a boutique hotel.
You also may not know that the hotel was designed by Louise Blanchard Bethune, the first female American architect. The French Renaissance exterior is just exquisite.
The hotel now also houses Public Espresso + Coffee, right at the lobby. Sip some coffee and marvel at the Art Moderne lobby.
Only three more weeks until my Hong Kong/Taiwan trip! I definitely feel there is so much to do prior to the trip and so little time.
