Eat: Arctic Bites

At the time of trying Arctic Bites, a new frozen dessert shop specializing in Thai ice cream rolls, it just recently opened. I have heard since that people have lined up for an upwards of 2 hours.

IMG_1554The ice cream rolls are made-to-order and you can watch the process on the cold plate: the ice cream being pounded on the cold plate and the flatten ice cream being made into rolls.

Taro With A Twist – a taro and coconut base ice cream with mochi balls, shredded coconut, whipped cream, condensed milk drizzle and half waffle cookie.

Mr Grey – an earl grey base ice cream with chocolate almond clusters, whipped cream, condensed milk drizzle and half waffle cookie.

Your Morning Cup – a coffee base ice cream with chocolate stick, Oreo crumbs, chocolate drizzle, whipped cream and half waffle cookie.

Ice cream costs $6.50 each. I tried the taro, which didn’t have a lot of taro flavour but if I had to choose, Mr. Grey wins out of the three. In reality, it wasn’t that great and flavours lack. Also they use generic brand whipped cream — if you are going to use generic brand products, make sure you conceal it. Not worth it at all.
