Eat: The Emerson Restaurant

Have never ventured down the Bloor/Landsdowne area much since moving out from the area 20-some years ago. The Emerson Restaurant is worth a venture. Came here with some friends.

It has the hipster vibe, but a good spot for groups or a romantic evening. We ordered a bunch of food to share.

We ordered 5 sides for $20, though each on its own is $5.

Eggplant, sour cream, basil, chilis and pine nuts.
Brussels sprouts, panchetta, and asiago
Frites with garlic aioli (not shown)
Chilled asparagus salad
Grilled rapini, anchovies, red onions and garlic.

IMG_2677Crispy chicken ($18) with green olives, marsala and lemon

Grilled calamari ($18) with barese sausage, tomato and salsa verde

IMG_2680.jpgRibeye and pork shoulder involtini ($18) with roasted red peppers, onions and jus.

Flat flank steak ($18) with mushroom, onion and jus.

Ontario Pickerel ($19) with fennel, orange and arugula.
