Whenever there’s a Vietnamese restaurant that serves bánh cuốn, the rice roll with ground pork, wood ear mushroom and shallots, I would order that and forgo the pho or vermicelli dishes.
Because Jeff lives in a neighbourhood that used to have a large concentration of Vietnamese people, he knew which place had the rice roll. One of Pho Linh‘s best dishes is the bánh cuốn. Comes with pork sausage (chả lụa) and copious amount of cilantro.
A few rolls were thick than I would have liked (and it should not be thick), but nevertheless always satisfy that occasional craving.
