Unfortunately, The Commodore is now closed. My friend and I went here for brunch a few days before they closed abruptly due to investment being backed out to continue operation. It was unexpected and sad. I really hope it will open elsewhere in the city– it seemed like an little institution for evening drinks and weekend brunch on the west end.
Plus there was something about the shrimp and grits that made me want more.
It was cute how food was served in mismatched plates.
Shrimp & Grits – Cape Breton shrimp, corn grits, house bacon and anchovy brown butter.
Octopus Frittata – caramelized onions, romesco sauce and spicy chorizo
Fluffy Pancakes – Espresso syrup and creamy tiramisu mousse
